Several months ago, I visited the historical Lamu town and the village of Shela. These two places are one of the great centres of Swahili culture and architecture.
I explored Old Town (which was declared a World Heritage site) on foot with my very interesting guide called Yahya.
Despite this being my second visit, I was still fascinated by the labyrinthine streets, old Lamu doors, amazing architectural structures, food and not forgetting the common mode of transport- Donkeys.
And here is Lamu in black and white – Truly Magical Kenya!
