Last week, I spent my Saturday evening with a group of amazing, beautiful, brilliant, funny, kindhearted women (my wife included) and captured a friendship that I have watched grow over a long period of time. These women have cried, laughed and even worked together yet they say the reason they are still together is because of TRUE FRIENDSHIP.

Here is what they found that best describes what friendship means to them:

• “A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you.”– Pauline Sabala – Kagondu

• “The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, nor the kind smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone else believes in him and is willing to trust him with friendship.” – Wagikuyu Miringu-Ndungu

• “My friends are like a deck of cards, they come in kings and queens, red and black, six and seven, but if one is missing, the deck won’t work…and that is friendship – Wambui Karobia – Mugo

• The greatest sweetener of human life is Friendship. To raise this to the highest pitch of enjoyment, is a secret which but few discover… Here’s to our 30s….. Esther Kagiri, MBS
