This post is about the African Sausage well-known as Mutura, a delicacy that is popular among Kenyans of all ages. This particular street Mutura is prepared by Samuel Kamau aka Muthungu, whose experience of handling meat and specifically mutura spans 19 years.
You may have tasted Muthungu’s mutura at places he has worked over the years including; Buffet Park, Impala, Shade butchery (Ngong), Mwalimu Classic butchery (Ngong), Choma Joint, Tours butchery(Kiserian), farmers (Kiserian) and Starehe butchery (Rongai) just to name a few.
His Mutura is specially stuffed with meat, Parsley veggies, leek onions and mint excluding blood. In a day, he sells 30kgs of mutura by the road side at Dagoretti corner. The mutura retails from Sh 10 to as much as Sh 200.
